Jeans and Coat Drive

March 1, 2017

As we approach the end of Winter,  our brothers and sisters who live on the street are still feeling cold. Campus Ministry invites the St. John’s community to support the  “Jeans and Coats Drive” for the Midnight Run program. Jeans and Coats are a high demand from those whom we serve every night in the City.  All sizes and in good condition are accepted. Student volunteers will distribute these donated items along with bagged meals to homeless individuals during the Midnight Runs, one of the many Vincentian service efforts organized by Campus Ministry.

“It’s hard for me to lead Midnight Run week after week when we cannot supply people’s most urgent needs and say, I’m sorry we don’t jeans or more coats, we haven’t received any donations”  Says Joseph Barry, Catholic Scholar and Campus Ministry Student Assistant CPS’16.

You can drop them off at the Campus Ministry Main Office in Marillac 239 or in the St. Thomas More Church office.  If you have any question, please feel free to contact Fr. Tri Duong, C.M. at 718-990-3354 or duongt@stjohns.edu.
