The Peter J. Tobin College of Business Alumni Association Scholarship

The Peter J. Tobin College of Business Alumni Association Annual Scholarship Fund was established to benefit the immediate relatives of the Tobin College of Business alumni. The scholarship is funded through the Tobin College of Business Alumni Association events throughout the year. The Tobin College of Business Alumni Association believes that sponsoring this scholarship enables and encourages young men and women to attain an undergraduate degree in higher education.

Provisions and Requirements
Applicant must be a high school senior who is an immediate relative of a member of the Tobin Alumni Association (daughter/son, sister/brother, niece/nephew, grandson/granddaughter) who will be matriculating as a freshman at St. John’s University on a full-time basis.

Submit
Scholarship application must be completed upon submission.

Basis
Applicant must be accepted to St. John’s University in a four- or five-year degree program of study. The applicant must agree to attend at least one donor recognition event a year if invited.

Amount
$2,000 per year 

Length of Time
Four-year period provided that the recipient remains in good academic standing.

Verification
The application must be completed by the student and signed by a sponsoring alumnus/a of the Tobin Alumni Association in order to verify the relationship to the applicant.

Deadline
The application period for the Tobin Alumni Association Annual Scholarship is Wednesday, April 30.

Selection
The Office of Financial Aid selects recipients based on recommendations from the Tobin College of Business Alumn Association Scholarship Committee. The Office of Financial Aid upon the recommendation of the Scholarship Committee will select the scholarship recipient. Each applicant is required to have a financial Aid Form on file in the Financial Aid Office of St. John’s University prior to May 15. This form may be obtained from the high school counselor.

The Office of Alumni Relations will notify the recipient of the scholarship by the Summer.
