than 100 St. John’s University alumni and friends attended a New
York Mets game at Citi Field in Flushing, NY on Monday, August 3,
2009. Sporting red t-shirts, the large St. John’s contingent
enjoyed a balmy evening at the new stadium, as they watched the
Mets play the Diamondbacks in what turned out to be a close game.
For many, it was a treat to spend time with their St. John’s family
and experience Citi Field with all of its amenities for the first
time. “The new stadium is fabulous, great customer service,” stated
Christopher Bunatta '01CPS “[It’s] good to be together with other
alumni to cheer on the home team."
