The considerable crowd enjoyed good food and drink while catching up with one another. “This is a great turnout and I always enjoy myself at these receptions,” said Angelo Dell’Olio '80SVC who is a big fan of the Red Storm and the annual pre-game receptions. “This is [also] a good venue to see fellow alumni some who I have not seen in years.”

Bill Schaeffer '73CBA, Director of Alumni Relations thanked everyone for coming and notified attendees about the upcoming St Patrick’s Day Breakfast and Parade as well as Alumni Reunion Celebration 2009. The reception concluded as alumni and friends made their way to their seats to watch as St. John’s went on to win against Georgetown, 59-56 in overtime.

The final pre-game reception in a series of five this season sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations, the event was also co-sponsored by University corporate partner Brooks Brothers and the Black Alumni Association (BAA) in honor of the 20th anniversary of its founding.
