Dr. Robin M. Masheb received her Ph..D. from St. John’s
University. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine and is on
the medical staff of Yale-New Haven Hospital. Since 2000, she has
been Associate Director for the Program for Obesity, Weight, and
Eating Research (P.O.W.E.R.) at Yale University where she
supervises fellows in clinical trial research. She also holds
a joint faculty appointment at the Yale Divinity School where she
teaches “Psychopathology and Pastoral Care.”
Masheb is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in Health Psychology
with expertise in the design and implementation of empirically
supported behavioral and cognitive-behavioral treatments for health
behavior change and psychiatric illnesses. She has over 100
peer-reviewed publications and has served as PI and investigator on
numerous National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants focusing on
obesity, eating disorders, binge eating disorder, eating behavior
and nutrition. In 2009, she received American Psychological
Association (APA) Fellow Status for recognition of her
distinguished and sustained contributions to Health
Psychology.
