Celebrate the beginning of summer by joining alumni and friends of Rev. James F. Dorr, C.M. ’79GEd at the Fifth Annual Father Dorr Golf Classic. This popular event began 26 years ago as the Newman Golf Classic and quickly became one of our most enjoyable and successful fundraising events. Since its inception the event has raised more than $3.25 million for scholarships to St. John’s students.

You’ll be spending the day on one of Long Island’s most beautiful private courses, and even if you’re not a golfer, you can still be a part of the fun by joining Fr. Dorr at the evening reception, dinner and silent auction.

We all know how much St. John’s students mean to Fr. Dorr, which is why the proceeds from this event go directly to support scholarships for our deserving young men and women. Through the efforts of Fr. Dorr and his dedicated committee, the Rev. James F. Dorr Scholarship has awarded over $400,000 to over 115 deserving St. John’s students, a fitting tribute to this exceptional Vincentian who has spent his life making a difference for others.
