The Dr. Charles I. Jarowski Legacy Scholarship will provide much needed scholarship support for graduate students majoring in Industrial Pharmacy Education in St. John’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Charles I. Jarowski, a St. John’s professor and renowned pharmaceutical scientist and researcher.
Dr. Jarowski affected thousands of St. John’s students in the 1970s and 1980s as an inspiring teacher, mentor and recruiter. In great part due to his recruiting skills, student enrollment at the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences grew dramatically as the College became a major resource for the pharmaceutical and medical industries, both in the U.S. and abroad.
Recipients of the scholarship will be selected by the St. John’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences faculty serving on the Student Awards Committee in conjunction with the University’s Office of Financial Aid. The students who receive this special scholarship will be announced each year at the Industrial Pharmacy Symposium and will be recognized as the Jarowski Scholars.
