This year marks the first-ever I <3 Alumni: Philanthropy Week
(Tuesday, February 19 - Friday, February 22) a global initiative in
which institutions across the world organize events and activities
to raise awareness about the importance of philanthropy.
The Office of Alumni Relations and the Student Alumni Association (SAA)
will be celebrating by hosting a week’s worth of fun activities,
showing students why the generous support of our alumni and friends
is so crucial – and why we <3 them for all that they do.
The week will include:
- The Kick Off
Tuesday, February 19, 2013, 1 – 4 p.m., Marillac Hall
Cafeteria
- Members of the SAA will set up tables on campus to promote I
<3 Alumni: Philanthropy Week, handing out “Alumni Fun Facts”
sheets and giveaways
- Storm Search
Wednesday, February 20, 2013, 1 – 4 p.m., Campus Wide
- SAA Representatives will interview and video tape current
students, asking them what “giving back” means to them at St.
John’s University.
- Bake Sale
Thursday, February 21, 2013, 1 – 4 p.m., Marillac Hall
Cafeteria
- Members of the SAA will be selling delicious baked goods to
raise funds for scholarships.
- Thank You Booth
Friday, February 22, 2013, 1 – 4 p.m., D’Angelo Center Third
Floor (Near Starbucks)
- Visit our table in the D’Angelo Center, where you’ll have the
opportunity to write a thank-you card to alumni, showing your
appreciation for their generosity!
