Week Thirteen

This has been my first full week in Dublin and I have to say that it has been an amazing week. From orientation to classes, everything has been a blast.

A lot of the staff were very interested in getting to know all the St. John’s students and gave very warm welcomes. The campus is kind of small but has a lot to offer to the students, especially the study abroad students. We have a type of study hall, which the faculty calls the coffee dock, where students can get free hot chocolate, tea and coffee.  The school also has a huge library that provides us with all of the books we need for our classes. As for class itself, it’s very interesting, especially since the professor encourages the students to participate in class.

The accommodations are better than I initially thought they would be. The students have a common room with a television, lounge chairs and a computer.  We also have access to a second lounge area that contains a pool table, a ping pong table and a flat screen television for the days when the students decide to stay on campus instead of going into town. This campus and this city have been more than what I ever anticipated them to be. I have a feeling that I am most definitely going to have a great experience here!
