Thomas E. Bonhag, CFP, CLU, ChFC, is the Chief Operating Officer
of National Madison, a life insurance brokerage firm specializing
in sophisticated insurance solutions for high net worth
individuals, corporations and non-profit organizations. With more
than 30 years in the financial services industry, his experience
includes service as a personal financial advisor to senior
corporate executives and very affluent families. He has also served
as a corporate officer for both a major global bank and leading
global insurer. His areas of specialization include corporate
executive benefits, wealth transfer planning, and philanthropic
life insurance.
Bonhag holds the professional designations of Certified
Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and
Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He is a member of the Estate
Planning Council of New York City, Inc. and the Society of
Financial Service Professionals. He is a Charter Member of PACE
(Professional Achievements in Continuing Education) and has taught
CFP exam preparation courses at the New York Center for Financial
Studies.
Bonhag received his B.A. from Fordham University and his MBA
from St. John’s University. He has served Fordham University as a
member of the President’s Planned Giving Advisory Council, the
Professional Advisors Committee and the President’s Council. He has
served St. John’s University as an Alumni Mentor and was awarded
the Alumni Outstanding Achievement award in 2004 on the occasion of
the 25th anniversary of the receipt of his MBA. He is also a member
of the Philanthropic Planning Group of Greater New York, the
Partnership for Philanthropic Planning and The International
Association of Advisors in Philanthropy.
