As nearly 50 members of The McCallen Society gathered in St. Thomas
More Church on Friday, November 7, 2008 for the concelebrated
Annual Recognition Mass they were reminded by principal celebrant
Rev. Kevin G. Creagh, C.M '91SVC, '04PD, Associate Vice President
for International Sites and Alumni Chaplain that “Today we are
called to be a people who are good and kind to each other.
The poor are our keys to heaven. They will bring us to God.”

11th Annual President’s Dinner Exceeds All
Expectations
As the flag of St. John’s University again flew proudly outside the
Waldorf=Astoria in New York City, nearly 1,100 supporters and
special friends gathered for the 11th Annual President’s Dinner in
the fabled Grand Ballroom to celebrate St. John’s outstanding
accomplishments and reaffirm its unique mission of service to

Mater
On Sunday, October 26, 2008 sixteen brothers of the Gamma
Gamma Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity and their wives
reminisced and shared memories at a fraternity reunion held on the
Queens campus of St. John’s University. Joining them were

Alumni and friends of St. John’s University’s The School
of Education gathered for brunch and a tour of the exhibit
“Catholics in New York” held at the Museum of the City of New York
on Sunday, October 26, 2008. The event was part of a year-long
celebration to commemorate The School of Education’s centennial and
drew close to 60 attendees.
