August 01, 2007
More than 30 St. John’s University alumni and friends gathered
on a picture-perfect July evening to meet fellow graduates and
network during a cruise around lower Manhattan.

The group sailed from New York Skyports at East 23rd Street and
the FDR Drive aboard the "Half Moon", catching stunning views of
the setting sun over the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island,
Governor's Island, and the breathtaking Manhattan skyline.
Guests enjoyed cocktails and made new contacts at this event,
one of many sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations throughout
the year, to help reconnect alumni with each other and the
University. “We are committed to providing alumni with as
many networking opportunities as possible to help meet their
professional needs,” explained Joseph Fortine, Assistant Director,
Alumni Relations, The Peter J. Tobin College of Business.
The event proved to be a success, with alumni and friends
exchanging business cards and contact information. "We had a
great time,” commented Amish Dalvi ‘04CPS/’07MBA. “We really
enjoyed the ride and the networking opportunity with St. John's
alumni!”
