Alumni and friends brought an abundance of school spirit to
pre-game receptions held on January 13, 21, February 1 and 25 at
Stout NYC. The events were scheduled prior to basketball games
against University of Connecticut, Syracuse University, Georgetown
University and Duke University, played at Madison Square Garden,
and brought together more than 200 people to enjoy light fare,
drinks and some Red Storm pride. Alumnus Charlie Sullivan ’79CBA,
’89 MBA marked the events a complete success. “Meeting up with
other alumni before the game is great,” he said.
Patty Sullivan ’79SVC, ’89C, ’96 MLS voiced her support for
remaining close to alma mater and participating in such events.
“We’ve been season ticket holders since 1973,” she said. “You have
to support the student-athletes by attending the games and
providing scholarship dollars.” Alumni of all ages and graduation
years turned out to meet and greet before it was time to cheer on
the team. “It’s a great reception to meet up with old friends,”
said Joe Coniglio ’95TCB. The last pre-game reception is
scheduled at Stout NYC on March 4, St. John’s vs. Providence,
noon pre-game reception, 2:00 p.m. tip-off.
