Wally cultivates relationships with donors and secures
leadership gifts for St. John’s University. He works closely with
the Office of the President to develop and implement strategies
empowering alumni and friends to maximize their philanthropic
intentions.
Prior to this position, Wally served as Assistant Vice President
for Development at St. John’s, Leadership Gift Officer at Marquette
University, Chief Operating Officer at the Institute for
International Sport at The University of Rhode Island and
Commissioner of the World Scholar-Athlete Games. He also served as
former Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Columbia and Clark
Universities. Wally brings more than 30 years of experience in
fundraising and administration to his current position.
Additionally, Wally has been selected to both the New England
Basketball Hall of Fame and the Clark University Athletic Hall of
Fame and was recognized in 2007 by the President’s Council on
Physical Fitness and Sports as a Community Leader.
Wally holds a B.A. in political science and an M.P.A. with a
concentration in administration of higher education from Clark
University in MA.
