Spend a day giving back! Join the NY Restoriation Project as
they host a MillionTreesNYC volunteer greening event in Coney
Island at the Luna Park Co-Op and the surrounding area.
The event, which is part of the St. John's Put Down Roots campaign,
focuses on planting trees on private residential properties. More
than 200 volunteers from across the city will have the opportunity
to help green the community by either planting a tree with guidance
from NYRP team leaders, or take part in other cleaning and
beautification activities. Volunteers will also enjoy entertainment
and food before having the opportunity to take home a tree for
planting on their own private yards. A limited number of trees may
be available to those who don’t volunteer. The event begins at 9:00
AM.
