The Phi Delta Kappa Expendable
Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 and provides partial
annual scholarship support to a junior, senior or graduate student
in St. John’s The School of Education. The recipient must possess a
grade point average of 3.25 or higher and demonstrate an
involvement in community service and/or professional
Provisions and Requirements
Applicant must be a junior, senior or graduate student in The
School of Education with involvement in community service and/or
professional development with financial need.
Each year of the award, the applicant must agree to the terms of
the grantor, which are as follows: the recipient must write a
thank-you letter explaining what the scholarship means to him/her
and also attend the annual awards dinner held in May.
The application must be completed by the student.

The Office of Student Financial Services, upon recommendation from
the Phi Delta Kappa Honor Society, selects the recipient. Each
