What graduate degrees are available through the Alumni Assistance Program?
All graduate programs are eligible, with the exception of programs offered in the School of Law.

How do I apply?

Please indicate under the Employer Section that you have been laid off and the date.  Please forward a copy of your termination letter and/or unemployment contract to the Office of Graduate Admission to confirm your eligibility.

When do I have to start the program?
If you are interested in receiving the discount, you must begin classes in the Fall 2009 semester.

How many terms is the 50% tuition discount good for?
If you begin taking classes in Fall 2009 you will receive the tuition discount through Spring 2011.

What does the tuition discount apply to?
The tuition discount can be applied to your pre-requisite classes, as well as to your degree requirements. This discount applies to tuition only and does not cover fees or books.

Do I have to maintain a certain GPA to receive the tuition discount?
In order to receive the tuition discount, you must remain in good academic standing according to the policies of the academic program. 

Do I have to be a full-time student?
You are encouraged, but not required, to be a full-time student.  This is so you can complete the program in two years, before the discount expires. 

Can I gain employment while taking classes?
You are eligible for the discount if you have become unemployed in the last six months.  If you obtain employment while taking classes, you are still eligible for the discount. 

Can I defer my admission to the Fall term?
No, to be eligible for the discount, you must begin taking classes in Spring 2009 or Summer 2009.

In addition to the 50% tuition discount, can I receive additional financial support?
You may apply for federal loans by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid online at www.fafsa.org.

What is the cost of graduate tuition?
The graduate tuition cost ranges from $865-1,040 per credit depending on the graduate program. Learn more about the cost of the graduate programs.

What services are offered for alumni through Career Center?
The Career Center will provide personal career guidance as you try to reenter the workforce in your current field or in new areas. You will receive counseling on all aspects of the job search process, as well as access to recent job postings.  Please visit the Career Center.
