Presentation of the Pietas Medal to
Sister Mary Jean Tague, D.C.
Sr. Mary Jean Tague, D.C. received her B.S. in Pharmacy from the College of Pharmacy in 1962. She then began her lifetime commitment to use the benefits of a superior Pharmacy education to do God’s work, both at home and abroad. Following graduation, she served as Pharmacy Director at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy, NY before leaving to do missionary work in Bolivia for nearly two decades. She returned to America to minister to the sick as a Visiting Nurse in Brooklyn, NY and Boston, MA, and then spent three additional years as a missionary in Angola. Currently she serves as Parish Nurse Coordinator at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. In celebration of her dedication to helping the sick in regions far and near, and on the 50th anniversary of her graduation, St. John’s University is pleased to present the Pietas Medal to Sr. Mary Jean Tague, D.C.
