Presentation of the Pietas Medal to
Rev. Elmer Bauer III, C.M.
Rev. Elmer Bauer III, C.M. earned his M.B.A. in Finance in 2002 from The Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s Rome campus. Currently Treasurer of the Eastern Province of the Congregation of the Mission, he has served the church and his religious community in a variety of roles. During the early years of his ministry he worked with the poor in remote regions of Panama. He then spent eight years in Rome as General Treasurer of the Congregation of the Mission. He was named to the Board of Governors of St. John’s in 2008 and joined the University’s Board of Trustees in 2009. He serves on the Board’s Executive Committee and Fiscal Resource Management Committee and chairs the Investment Committee. Tonight, in celebration of his commitment to the ideals of St. Vincent de Paul and on the 10th anniversary of his graduation, St. John’s University proudly presents the Pietas Medal to Rev. Elmer Bauer III, C.M.
