Presentation of the President’s Medal to
Charles M. Piluso
A triple alumnus of St. John’s University, Charles M. Piluso earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice from St. Vincent’s College in 1976, his M.A. in Political Science and Public Administration from the Graduate Division of St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1978 and his M.B.A. in Marketing from St. John’s College of Business Administration in 1986. He began his career as an Account Executive at ITT Corporation, later serving as Regional General Manager at United Technologies Corp. He is presently the Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Data Storage Corporation, the fourth successful business entity that he has founded during the past quarter century. A former faculty member in the College of Business Administration and current member of the University’s Board of Governors, this dedicated alumnus supports St. John’s by his membership in The Loughlin Society as well as through the establishment of the Piluso Foundation Scholarship Fund, which annually provides scholarship support to academically talented undergraduate students. Indeed, St. John’s has deep roots in the Piluso family. Charles met his wife, Joanne, here, and their daughter is currently a graduate student. In 2001 St. John’s acknowledged his accomplishments by proudly presenting him with the Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award. Tonight, in recognition of his remarkable business career, his commitment to alma mater and on the 35th anniversary of his undergraduate graduation, St. John’s University pays tribute to a loyal and talented alumnus and, with admiration and affection, presents the President’s Medal to Charles M. Piluso.
