Presentation of theAlumni Outstanding Achievement Award to
Mary Carole Schafenberg
A double alumna of St. John’s University, Mary Carole Schafenberg received her B.S. in Elementary Education in 1970 and her P.D. in Administration and Supervision in 1980, both from St. John’s School of Education. She began her career as a teacher in New York City, and currently serves as Principal of Public School 76 in Queens. Loyal to alma mater, she is a member of The Loughlin Society and has participated in many alumni initiatives, including the Schermerhorn Street Reunion in 2006. Tonight, in celebration of her lifelong commitment to education in New York City and on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of her undergraduate graduation and the 30th anniversary of her graduate graduation, St. John’s University is pleased to present the Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award to Mary Carole Schafenberg.
