John Lawrence McInerney
A double alumnus, John Lawrence McInerney received his B.A. from University College in 1966 and his J.D. from the School of Law in 1970. He began his career as a Trust Administrator at Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, soon moving to the position of Associate at the firm of Cullen & Dykman, Esqs. In 1974 he served as Counsel to the Internal Affairs Bureau of the New York City Police Department, then returned to the private sector in a variety of senior administrative capacities, including Vice President - Legal at Merrill, Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Senior Vice President – Legal at Thomson McKinnon Securities and Director – Legal at Smith Barney/Citicorp. Currently Managing Director – Legal at Bluff Point Associates, he supports alma mater as a member of The Loughlin Society. In celebration of his exemplary career and the 40th anniversary of his graduation from the School of Law, St. John’s University proudly presents the Pietas Medal to John Lawrence McInerney.
