Robin Bardenhagen Sheehan '94C, '96MLS received the Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award of St. John’s University at the 28th Annual Alumni Convocation on Friday, May 29, 2009.

A double alumna of St. John’s University, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1994 and her MLS from St. John’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1996.

After serving as a Research Analyst at Bear Stearns and Company and McKinsey and Company, she and her husband Tim established the “O” Foundation, a family foundation of which she is President.  The “O” Foundation was created to support educational initiatives for children, as well as several arts organizations within the Chicago area.

She and her husband are also the grantors of the Rosen/Munhall 9/11 Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund, an endowed scholarship in memory of two St. John’s University alumni who were boyhood friends, attended St. John’s together, graduated together and perished together during the terror attacks of September 11, 2001.

Robin Bardenhagen Sheehan is one of the youngest St. John’s University alumni to endow a scholarship.

“Receiving this award is a nice feeling,” she said.  “The campus is beautiful and yet, at the same time that it feels so different, I feel that it can still be home.  The roots are pretty strong from here.”

The Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award is an honor reserved for alumni who have either distinguished themselves in their personal careers and professions or have made a significant contribution to the life of the University.
