Ed oversees the Division of Institutional Advancement,
responsible for all aspects of alumni relations and fundraising.
Working collaboratively with the Office of Alumni Relations, he
helps to strategize and implement ways of engaging St. John’s
alumni, keeping them connected to each other and to the University.
Ed also provides his insight to help the Division generate
necessary resources to advance St. John’s unique mission, through
major gifts, gift planning and annual donations. Additionally, he
oversees the planning and execution of high-level institutional
events, such as the President’s Dinner, The Jubilarian Society
Dinner and The Loughlin Society Winter Reception.
Prior to this position, Ed served as Associate Chief of Staff for
Athletics and Institutional Advancement, where he played a pivotal
role in the creation of the new BIG EAST Conference, identifying
Fox Sports as the ideal TV partner and helping to negotiate the Red
Storm’s athletic apparel deal with Under Armour. Previously, he
served as Director of Development for Men’s Basketball at St.
John’s. He also spent a number of years working in corporate
marketing for The Coca-Cola Company, dealing mostly with the
Vitaminwater and Powerade brands.
Ed received a B.A. in Business from Stony Brook University and an
M.B.A. in Finance from St. John’s The Peter J. Tobin College of
