Picture Yourself At Home at St.
John's!
Going away to college is practically a ‘right of passage’ in any
person’s life. The relationships you develop, along with the
memories, are typically what you’ll remember most about college. As
a freshman at St. John’s, your residence life experience will
include living in some of the most modern and up-to-date residence
halls you can imagine. Ideally, St. John’s will become, as the
cliché goes, your home away from home.
The freshman residence halls- located in the Residence
Village- don’t include a bathroom at the end of the hallway,
but rather one attached to your room. Your St. John’s issued laptop
will have access to the University’s wireless capabilities, while
printing outlets are located throughout the hall. Campus Safety
and Security provides 24 hour protection and when you’re
hungry, the Montgoris Hall dining facility is located right within
the Residence Village. Exercise equipment and treadmills are
located in each hall, while a full court outdoor basketball court
is nearby.
While you’re in college, you’re education will come from outside
of the classroom just as much as it will in. And living on campus
in one of the main places that will begin. Despite being almost 140
years old, St. John’s only started offering on campus housing in
1999. So you can be sure that not only during your freshman year,
but when you’re an upperclassman, that your living space will be
very modern… an attempt to make it feel like home.
