Active Learning in the Sciences

The National Academy of Sciences and the Howard Hughes Foundation are organizing faculty workshops to transform undergraduate science education. These five day workshops model the scientific teaching principles they teach. Active learning, current research, assessment, and diversity are woven into the week, creating a forum to develop innovative instructional materials. Drs. Bazinet and Dranginis report on the workshop they attended at Yale last summer.
