Important Deadlines

St. John's Academics Programs

St. John’s University has a "rolling admission" deadline policy, which means you can apply at anytime. However, depending on the program you apply for, there may be some important dates you will want to pay attention to. Additionally, the St. John's special scholarships programs have application deadline dates, as well, that you will want to be aware of. Please review the list below to ensure you submit your application and supporting materials on time.

Catholic Student Scholarship
St. John's Catholic Student Scholarship offers a limited number of awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 to college-bound Catholic students regardless of the secondary school they attend.

Catholic Scholars Program
Take part in a four-year developmental program that translates faith into action. Prospective freshmen apply for this scholarship, and if chosen will receive a grant of $5,000 per year which will be awarded for four years of study. Extended deadline date is February 28

International Students
The application deadlines for international students are May 1 for the Fall semester and November 1 for Spring. However, international students interested in on-campus housing for the Fall semester must submit their application by January 15.

Fine Arts Applicants
The portfolio deadline for Fine Arts applicants is February 15.

Housing
Student housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We strongly advise applicants to submit their completed application, indicating their interest in on-campus housing, by February 1, 2013 for the following Fall semester.

PharmD. Program
There are two deadlines for fall admission to our Pharm.D. program. The priority deadline is December 1 with notification around January 15. The regular admission deadline is February 1 with notification around March 1. All supporting documents must accompany your application, including an official high school transcript and official test scores (either SAT or ACT). Two letters of recommendation (one must be from a science or math teacher), an essay of 250 words describing your extraciricular activities, and a signed copy of the program's Technical Standards, which can be found with the admission application, are also required. International students may also have to submit TOEFL test scores, in addition to a high school transcript and either SAT or ACT scores.

Physician Assistant Program
Transfer students interested in the Physician Assistant program should submit their admission application by March 1 for Fall semester enrollment, and by October 15 for Spring semester enrollment.

Ozanam Scholars Program
St. John’s has created a bold new program that will provide a select group of scholars with a unique and innovative learning experience. A cohort of Ozanam Scholars begins in freshman year with each student receiving up to a $10,000 scholarship renewable annually for the four-year program.
