About the Honors Program

Specially designed courses, small classes and personal attention from top faculty -- these are highlights of the Honors Program at St. John's.

As a "college within a college," our Honors Program features seminar-style courses; opportunities for advanced research and in-depth discussions with Honors professors; and the friendship of a diverse, close-knit group of remarkable students. The program offers many special programs, services and facilities.

Writing, research and dialogue with fellow students and professors distinguish the Honors curriclum. As seniors, Honors students also have a chance to apply their skills in an optional "capstone experience" -- an independent study course that students take under faculty guidance.

Our Honors students enjoy the outstanding advantages of the St. John's experience. Founded in 1870, St. John's has prepared young men and women for success in virtually every field that touches our lives. This tradition is evident in our Honors Program.
