Fixed Rate Tuition Plan

To help you plan to enroll at St. John’s University, we are delighted to announce a Fixed Rate Tuition Plan offering you and your family the potential to save more than $2,000 over the four years of your undergraduate education.

Through enrollment in the St. John’s Fixed Rate Tuition Plan, you will avoid future tuition increases by “locking in” at a special fixed tuition rate.

With the St. John’s Fixed Rate Tuition Plan, you’ll pay the same tuition each of your four undergraduate years at St. John’s. For the 2014-2015 academic year, Fixed Rate Tuition has been set at $39,700 per year, as compared to our Traditional Tuition Rate of $37,870.

Even though you will be paying a premium in your first year of college, based on the projections below you may realize substantial savings by the end of your fourth year. (Please note if you plan to attend The Peter J. Tobin College of Business or the Doctor of Pharmacy program you will have a tuition differential added to your annual tuition beginning in the third year of study.  To assist for future budgeting, for the 2014-2015 academic year, the third year tuition differential for the Peter J. Tobin College of Business is $1,610, and for the Doctor of Pharmacy, it is $5,500. The tuition differential is charged to both Fixed Rate and Traditional Tuition students).

Your estimated savings through enrollment in St. John’s Fixed Rate Tuition Plan, depending on the rate of tuition increase over four years, could be:

  • If tuition increased 3.5% per year, savings over four years would be $820
  • If tuition increased 4.0% per year, savings over four years would be $2,014

Just think—you will know the total cost of your four years of undergraduate study before you even start college– and you and your family will not have to worry about annual tuition increases.

To enroll in St. John’s Fixed Rate Tuition Plan, complete and sign the Fixed Rate Tuition Plan Contract and return it to the Office of student Financial Services by June 13, 2014 so we can prepare your fall 2014 invoice.
