The requirements of the 130 credit actuarial science BS program
may be completed in 4 years of full-time study. The program
provides a broad, general business education and, in conjunction
with selected courses in mathematics, economics, finance,
accounting and insurance, students are prepared to take actuarial exams that lead
to certification by the Society of
Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial
Society. The program also is designed and approved to maximize
the provision of society validation by educational experience (
VEE) credit. Students work closely with an advisor and with an
actuarial club to facilitate learning and to encourage the timely
passage of external society exams. The recommended sequence of
