Insurance is our business. That's why we are
ideally positioned to assist insurance professionals in New York
and New Jersey in satisfying their industry’s state-mandated
continuing-education requirements. The Center offers an ongoing
series of four-hour and eight-hour courses designed to address
these requirements. These courses can also serve as a refresher for
agents, adjusters and brokers seeking to remain current on the most
up-to-date industry practices.
About license renewal
The Faculty
All faculty members have been approved to
teach courses that yield credits for continuing education.
The Facilities
All courses meet at the Center for
Professional Education, within the School of Risk Management,
Insurance and Actuarial Science, conveniently located in the
financial district of lower Manhattan. Depending on enrollment,
courses can also be held off-campus, at an organization's
request.
Center Policies
Tuition fees are non-refundable.
However,
individuals unable to attend can reschedule at no charge, provided
they inform the Center at least 24 hours before the start of a
scheduled session.
Late arrivals will not be
admitted.
Because continuing education credits
are issued strictly on the basis of the number of hours spent in
class, we urge students to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the
scheduled starting time of their program.
We do not cancel
classes.
In recognition of the importance of
these courses to our clients, the Center maintains a "no
cancellation" policy. As long as there is one registered
participant, unless there is an emergency, we will run the
class.
