Daniel Santos is currently doing an internship with UBS as a
Wealth Management Intern during his senior year. As an
undergrad majoring in Finance, Daniel seized the opportunity to
gain real life experience in the field of his choice.
Daniel's responsibilities range from updating databases of
potential clients to assisting with client's portfolios.
Daniel applied the skills he developed as the Treasurer for Phi
Iota Alpha Fraternity Inc. and from a previous internship with the
Japan Society towards his internship. In addition to his work
experience, Daniel utilized the skills he learned in his
classes.
"The programs TCB offer such as Executive-in-Residence Program
(EIRP), Student Management Investment Fund (SMIF) and TCB
internships provided me with skill sets to deal with real
world issues such as coming up with business strategies,
analysis of stocks, and gaining hands on experience related to
my field in Finance."
The best advice Daniel received from a professor was, "To know
what you want in order to be focused in achieving your
goals." Keeping that advice in mind, Daniel is planning
to become a Financial Analyst and follow that with a MBA in
Finance.
