The IT team’s responsibilities include identifying the technology
needs for GLOBE and discovering ways to implement these
technologies within the organization to establish efficient
communications. We handle website content maintenance, online
social networks, and recommendations to assist field partners in
communicating with the GLOBE class. With the assistance of fellow
task teams, the IT team is critical in developing strategies to
make the GLOBE program operate day to day outside of the
classroom.
Semester Tasks
- Perform technology assessments for the class and field
partners, delivering needs as necessary.
- Assist in preparing, revising, and maintaining content for the
GLOBE website to deliver information, accept donations, and list
borrower profiles.
- Liaison with task teams to create communication strategies that
effectively reach our field partners, donors, borrowers,
prospective GLOBE students, and the university community.
- Maintain social networking accounts (Youtube, Twitter,
Facebook) to provide updated GLOBE activities
