Single mother with three children who earns $200 a year
Christine is a single mother who must provide for her three
children. Christine was previously involved in the wool spinning
industry but her house tragically burned down and she lost her
spinning loom and all of her possessions. After this
incident, the Daughters of Charity helped Christine purchase
another loom, which was kept in a public room at the local parish.
Again, Christine lost her loom due to circumstances outside of her
control when it was later vandalized by local children.
Now Christine is determined to start up her business again and will
use the loan to purchase a new loom. The fact that Christine has
thought out this loan and has come up with a structured business
plan is a very encouraging sign for us. The loan was issued
with the proviso that a secure location for the loom could be
identified. The Daughters of Charity are assisting with
this.
