Academic Affairs Commission
The Academic Affairs Commission of SGA organizes and presents the
concerns of students with regard to academic issues. The Commission
addresses academic program concerns and serves as a liaison to
faculty and the Peter J. Tobin College of Business.
Accounting Society
To inform students of opportunities available to accounting majors,
assist with corporate development and increase social interaction
among members.
Association of Latino Professionals in Finance &
Accounting (ALPFA)
ALPFA is the leading professional organization dedicated to
enhancing opportunities for minority students in the accounting,
business, and finance related professions.
Advertising Club
Promote other clubs and organizations on campus while furthering
each students knowledge and understanding of the advertising
field.
Computer Science Society
The Computer Science Society (CSS) strives to integrate the
classroom experience with real-world, industry related experiences
to breed members that are ready to enter into an exciting career in
technology
Economics & Finance Society
The Economics and Finance Society acts as a non-profit organization
and is used to fund activities that will enable students to gain
experience in the finance industry. They promote education that
cannot be found in the classroom.
Entrepreneurial Society
The Entrepreneurial Society helps develop young entrepreneurs
through education, seminars, hands-on workshops and events.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee of the Student Government is chaired by the
Vice President for Finance. Class representatives serve as
committee members. All student clubs and Organizations of the
campus must be recognized by the SGA as having an established
membership, and an updated constitution on file to apply for
funding through SGA.
Gamma lota Sigma
The Alpha Iota Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma, National Collegiate
Insurance Fraternity, is located at the College. Its membership is
open to all students interested in insurance as a career. The
fraternity sponsors industry lectures, national symposiums,
corporate field trips, and participation in regional and national
fraternity conferences. The fraternity is dedicated to providing a
link between the insurance industry and students on college
campuses nationwide.
Investment Club
Bring asset management capabilities into the hands of students with
the goal of promoting education, performance and industry exposure
to students of all levels
Management Society
The goal of the Management Society is to prepare its members to
become successful leaders in business through their five-fold
mission of: education, opportunity, leadership, friendship, and
integrity.
Marketing Club
The purpose of the Marketing Club shall be to inform, teach and
guide fellow members, through guidance. Members will be equipped to
understand the field of marketing and to see what directions an
individual can take with knowledge of marketing as a degree, minor
or hobby.
National Association of Black Accountants
(NABA)
The Association unites accountants, finance and business related
professionals and students who have similar interest and ideals,
and are committed to professional and academic excellence, possess
a sense of professional and civic responsibility, and are concerned
with enhancing opportunities for minorities in the accounting,
finance and business related professions.
Organization of Resident Students (ORS)
This organization is comprised of students who assist in developing
programs and activities for the students residing at the campus.
ORS voices the concerns of residents and strives to create a sense
of community for those living at the College.
Student Government Association (SGA)
The Student Government Association is the representative body of
all students, undergraduate and graduate, part-or full-time. It
meets regularly to discuss issues and affairs of the students and
the campus. Any matriculated student in good academic and social
standing may run for election as an Executive Board officer or
Program Representative, as outlined by the SGA Constitution. SGA
meetings are open to all students.
Tau Upsilon Alpha (Human Resources)
Provide a medium for cooperation and communication among faculty ,
students, and individuals working in the human services field;
foster excellence in teaching, research and curriculum planning;
serve members in their career development and placement; facilitate
excellence in the delivery of human service; and support the
ethical conduct of all persons in the human service field.

Societies
Alpha Kappa Psi (Business)
The objects of this chapter shall be to further the individual
welfare of its members, to foster scientific research in the fields
of commerce, accounts and finance; to educate the public to
appreciate and demand higher ideals therein; and to promote and
advance in institutions of college rank courses leading to degrees
in business administration.
Beta Alpha Psi (Accounting)
Beta Alpha Psi is the national scholastic honor society in
accounting. Its objective is to encourage and recognize scholastic
excellence in that field. Membership is open to students who have
attained junior standing and who have distinguished themselves as
outstanding students in all subject areas, including
accounting.
Beta Gamma
Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma is the international honor society serving
business programs accredited by AACSB International - The
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Membership
in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student
anywhere in the world can receive in a business program accredited
by AACSB International
