The Military Science department develops the leadership and managerial potential of students and to prepare them to serve as commissioned officers in the active Army, National Guard or Army Reserve. The Military Science Courses (MSC) are open to all St. John's students. Students will not incur any service obligation when signing up for the course. Students pursuing a commission through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) must also register for MSC LL (Leadership Laboratory) every semester they take a Military Science course. ROTC offers a variety of two, three and four year scholarship programs as well as non scholarship options to qualified students.
