Managers are in high
demand, especially those with a sound business education and
training. Job opportunities for managers are expected to grow more
than 6 percent by 2016, with particular
demand in the financial sector. A Bachelor of Science degree
in Management from The Peter J. Tobin College of
Business at St. John's prepares students for careers in either
general management or specializations such as finance, human
resources and international business.
The 124-credit program provides knowledge and skills in
leadership, organization, planning and strategy for successful
management in business as well as the non-profit sector.
Combining challenging coursework, outstanding faculty and top New
York-area internships, the program prepares students to assume
responsibility for an organization's success in areas ranging from
information systems and operational logistics to marketing, sales
and human resources.
The Tobin College is fully accredited by AACSB International — the
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Fewer than
20 percent of collegiate business schools in the U.S. and
Canada have attained this accreditation. Accounting students
at St. John's gain expertise in the principles and
applications of accounting, readying them for exciting careers in
public and private practice.
