The Economics and Finance Department offers courses that
introduce students to cutting-edge economic and finance theories
and their application to domestic and global issues on both the
undergraduate and graduate levels.
At the undergraduate, the Department offers a Bachelor
of Arts in economics through St. John's College of Liberal
Arts and Sciences, a Bachelor of Science in
economics through the Tobin College of Business, and a
Bachelor of Science in finance through the Tobin
College of Business. The bachelor's degrees may be pursued as a
terminal degree for students seeking careers in business, banking,
securities, insurance, government, and other professions, or it may
serve as a prelude to graduate study in economics, finance,
business, law, education, and other disciplines.
