Certificate programs are offered for
mature students interested in advancing their knowledge and
enhancing their professional abilities. These programs are designed
to accommodate holders of bachelor's degrees who want to develop
competencies in an additional or complementary field of learning;
individuals with no prior collegiate experience who wish to explore
a particular field of study and who are unable to pursue a degree
program at the present time; and individuals who are presently
enrolled in a degree program in an unrelated field who wish to
broaden their educational experiences but who do not desire to
pursue an additional major field of study.
Students must complete certificate program courses with a minimum
cumulative index of 2.0.

individuals who have completed a bachelor's degree in an unrelated
area)
- Telecommunications
Admissions
Prospective students seeking admission to a certificate program
must meet the regular entrance requirements for the College of
Professional Studies. Admission of new students is dependent upon
all past educational experiences and other significant activities.
Students who are currently matriculated for a degree must be in
good academic standing to qualify for admission into a certificate
program. Matriculated students may not pursue a certificate program
in their major field of study.
Transfer Credit
A maximum of six credits attained
prior to enrollment in a certificate program may be used to fulfill
the requirements for the certificate. All courses completed in a
certificate program may be used towards the partial fulfillment of
requirements for a bachelor's or associate's degree, where
applicable.
Awarding of Certificates
Certificates will be awarded at the conclusion of the fall, spring
and summer terms to individuals who have successfully completed all
course requirements with a cumulative grade point index of
2.0.
