On Friday, April 1, 2005 Professors Keith Carrington and
Antoinette Schlossberg co-moderated two sessions of the
College of Professional Studies’ Dean’s
Lecture Series on “Disaster Preparedness during a Time of
Terrorism” at Bent Hall on the Queens Campus. The speaker was
Captain Andrew M. Trabanco (Retired) of the New York City Fire
Department.
W. Graeme Cameron, Deputy Director of the Ministry of the
Attorney General for the province of Ontario, Canada recently wrote
to Dean Kathleen Voute McDonald commending the exceptional
contribution of Professor Howard Abadinsky to the judicial
process. Professor Abadinsky, of the College’s Criminal Justice and Legal Studies
Division, testified in a proceeding involving organized
crime and proved to be an outstanding witness, according to the
Canadian official.
