Interested in Making Your Course Part of Our Learning Community Program?

As the fall semester comes to an end, we are engaged in planning for the spring 2012 semester. At this time, we are recruiting faculty who are interested in partnering with us for the Learning Communities (LC) Program.  

The goal of the Learning Communities Program is to provide an opportunity for increased faculty-student engagement of first-year students and to heighten the educational experience of the students involved in the LC Program. The LC Program embraces the principle that the creation of out-of-the-classroom experiences will increase faculty-student engagement by connecting students to faculty members via the shared experiences of formal and informal events. The LC office assists faculty members with the planning of the out-of-class experiences that relate to the curriculum of the specifically designated LC courses.
