About the Program

The program prepares students for leadership careers in hospitality and tourism management, both nationally and globally, emphasizing the integration of theory and practical applications to satisfy the diverse needs of the industry.

The program will prepare graduates to:

Demonstrate knowledge of the dimensions and principles of the hospitality and tourism industry

  • Demonstrate understanding of the importance of knowledge to success in the hospitality and tourism management
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the dimension and scope of the hospitality and tourism industry 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the conceptual foundations and theoretical principles specific to hospitality and tourism management and/or marketing.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the functions and/or services provided by various industry segments and discuss relevant organizational structures and responsibilities.
  • Describe the dynamics and multidisciplinary nature of the field across various interrelated components/segments.
  • Demonstrate the ability to contribute to enhancing the body of knowledge in the hospitality and tourism field through research.

Apply academic principles and processes to the business environment

  • Interact with industry professionals, sharing knowledge, actively engaging in the integrated learning process.
