Serving those who are most in need is a cornerstone of St.
John’s Vincentian tradition. One of the most meaningful ways that
faculty, staff and administrators can experience this heritage is
by taking part in the University’s “Fridays in the Soup Kitchen”
The Campus Ministry program enables University employees to spend
Fridays during the academic year serving at St. John’s Bread and
Life, which provides more than 1,000 meals a day and other services
to needy New Yorkers. During lunch at the kitchen, volunteers are
asked to serve in the food line or pantry.
