The Homeland and Corporate Security program at St. John’s
University provides students with a thorough solution-oriented
understanding of the important issues involved with the protection
of private corporate assets, as well as an in depth exploration of
the Department of Homeland Security structure and operation.
Students will learn valuable partnership-building tools, helping to
bridge private sector and governmental critical infrastructure
protection efforts.
The corporate security field has been one of the fastest growing
industries during the past 10 years. With 85% of the United
States critical infrastructure owned or controlled by private
corporations, security executive positions can be found in almost
every major corporation.
Curriculum
The Bachelor of Science degree in Homeland and Corporate Security
is designed to provide a professional dimension to the managerial
and technological phases of corporate security. Students will
study a diverse curriculum including such topics as

- Intelligence Gathering and Analysis
- Industrial Espionage
- Corporate Assets Protection
- Corporate Investigations
- Facility Protection
To obtain this degree, 126 credits must be completed.
An minor in Homeland and Corporate Security is also
available.
The professors in the Homeland and Corporate Security Program

prestigious corporations in the United States. All of our
professors bring a career-oriented style of teaching which best

Career Opportunities
Internships in the program provide outstanding opportunities for
students. Eligible juniors and seniors may earn three to six
credits interning in some of the most dynamic corporate security
organizations in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.
