Cadets receive up to $20,000 a year in aid toward tuition. The
aid includes an annual $10,000 grant from St. John’s and $10,000
annually in tuition reimbursement from the city.
Cadets can earn additional funds through part-time employment
with the NYPD. Students at St. John’s must complete a minimum 45
credits to qualify for tuition assistance available through the
Corps. Cadets who complete the program and remain a police officer
for at least two years do not need to repay the reimbursement.
