Candidates are required to complete 60 semester hours of credit of a prescribed program of study with a minimum cumulative quality point index of 2.0 for all courses and for the major area. The curriculum includes required courses in the liberal arts and sciences and the major area and elective courses. However, paralegals and legal assistants may not provide legal services directly to the public, except as permitted by law.

This program is approved by the American Bar Association.
