Profile
Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies.
Before Coming to St. John's University in the fall of 2006,
Professor Chin practiced law for over twenty years. She served as
Legal Counsel at Hunter College, practiced corporate law at Con
Edison and served as General Counsel for the New York State
Judicial Commission on Minorities. She also served as the
Director of Personnel for the former Division of High Schools of
the New York City Department of Education.
Professor Chin received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the
City College of New York, and her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law
School. She also received a Master of Arts in Languages and
Literature from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Master
of Science in Educational Administration from Pace University.
