The Radiologic Technology Program strives to educate each
student both didactically and clinically to become qualified entry
level Radiologic technologists. The didactic and clinical curricula
are designed to develop and enhance effective communication skills,
technical skills, and professional/ethical conduct in order to
perform radiographic procedures. The program will provide a
balanced clinical education complimented with a didactic atmosphere
conducive to fostering teamwork, and self development in order to
instill an appreciation and commitment to the
profession.
Program Goals
- The graduate will demonstrate a well rounded knowledge and
understanding of Radiography by mastering both the didactic and
clinical portions of the program.
- The graduate will exhibit great patient care skills by
demonstrating professional and ethical conduct while effectively
utilizing their critical thinking and communication skills to
ensure patient safety and comfort.
- The graduate will demonstrate knowledge of radiation protection
to provide a safe imaging environment for the patient, themselves
and other healthcare professionals.
- The graduate will utilize their technical knowledge to produce
quality images that aid in the diagnosis of patients.
