Physician Assistant

Program Overview
After two years of coursework on the  Queens Campus, students meeting the academic and other progression requirements complete one year of instruction at the University’s  Dr. Andrew J. Bartilucci Center, and a final year at affiliated hospitals and clinics. This accredited Physician Assistant Program provides the Physician Assistant Professional Credential Award concurrently with the conferral of the B.S. degree from St. John's University.

Students must appear for an interview before the Subcommittee on Promotions (Physician Assistant Program) and thereafter are reviewed annually for the purpose of evaluating performance in the academic program and ascertaining eligibility for promotion into the clinical portion of the program. Promotion into the professional clinical portion requires a 3.0 grade point average both overall and in mathematics and science, and successful completion of the admission process.
