Screening Exam Begining January 2009 for
our up coming May 2009 Class!
The screening exam for our May 2009 class will begin
January 2009. All screening exams are given Tuesday and Thursdays
from 9am until 1pm. The screening exam is available, by walk in or
by scheduled appointment.
A current NYS EMT will have to take a 200 question multiple
choice Screening Exam, the exam is broken down into 150 EMT
questions, 35 reading comprehension and 15 math questions. Once the
written is complete, there will also be an oral interview. Upon
successful completion of both portions of the exam, the student
will be notified in writing by mail if they are accepted into the
program. The cost of the Screening Exam is $100.00 USD,
non-refundable payable by check or money order to the St. John’s
University. You must bring your drivers license and your valid NYS
EMT card with you. The screening fee is separate from the
tuition.
